Here are our boats!
At French Kiss Divers, we’ve chosen a fleet that’s simple, efficient, and perfectly suited to the conditions in Malapascua.
🌴 A personal experience
Our philosophy remains the same, no matter what kind of boat it is:
👉 Small groups, flexibility, and a high-quality experience.
Of course, we use traditional Bangka boats for long journeys. After the massive typhoon on Christmas 2019, which destroyed our Bangka “French Touch,” and then the pandemic took its toll on our second Bangka, “Moky,” we decided to stop owning them and instead hire local people by simply renting the boats from them.
Of course, we’ve still managed to put together a small fleet, and we’ll show them to you right now 🙂
ADA:
The sole survivor of the pandemic (formerly known as “Fat Boat”). On the left in the photo.
This boat allows us to transport bottles and passengers to the bangka.
Equipped with a small Honda 16 engine, this wooden boat is fully fiberglass-reinforced and sturdy.
XRP:
Quickly rebuilt (let’s even say restored to new condition), it was previously called the “Kiss Cool,” which would eventually lend its name to the next boat. On the right in the photo.
This boat allows us to do one or two dives around the island, for fun dives and courses.
Equipped with a small 70cc Yamaha outboard motor, this wooden boat is fully fiberglass-reinforced.
Kiss Cool:
Coming in third, it’s reverting to the old name “XRP.” In the middle of the photo.
This boat also allows us to do one or two dives around the island, for both fun dives and courses, which gives us more flexibility.
Equipped with a small 40cc Yamaha outboard motor, this boat is our first one made entirely of fiberglass, which makes it much lighter but, more importantly, unsinkable.
Number One:
The newest addition (coming soon!) to the FKD family, it will be up and running by the end of May 2026. We can’t wait to put this gem to use.
This boat allows us to make 2 to 3 dives at remote sites (Kemud/Gato), just like the Bangkas, but twice as fast (at cruising speed).
Equipped with two 150cc Suzuki outboard motors, this aluminum boat is the first of its kind on Malapascua Island, hence its name! Its top speed is 55–60 km/h, and it’s also unsinkable ^^
