ADVANCED ADVENTURER

Get your Advanced Adventurer with FKD!

If you are at least 10 years old and have at least the Junior Open Water level or equivalent, then you can take the Advanced Adventurer course (the equivalent of the PADI Advanced Open Water).

During this course, if you are over 12 years old you will discover the pleasures of deep diving (30 meters for those over 15 years old, 21 meters for those 12-14 years old, and maximum 12 meters for those under 12 years old).

You will also develop your knowledge of navigation and buoyancy control. You will be able to visit wrecks, use a dive computer, begin to recognize and identify different species of fish, corals and underwater plants. If conditions permit, you can also learn to dive at night.

You will have a new perspective on diving and will experience even more pleasure and sensations. Each validated dive can be credited towards the corresponding specialty training.

French Kiss Divers offers SSI diving courses at all levels

The advanced course consists of 5 dives (on 5 different themes) including :
- perfect buoyancy" is a dive where you spend an hour (depending on air consumption, of course) working on your buoyancy with your instructor, playing games with a hoop and sinkers. The aim is to improve your buoyancy a little more, as it's often the most complicated at first.
- "Navigation" is a dive where we teach you to use a compass underwater and also to orientate yourself naturally. (It won't make you an expert, but it will give you the basics. )
- The "deep dive" is the dive where we descend to a maximum depth of 30 meters and explain the impact and difference that this implies.
- shark ecology" is the shark diving section (history and how to deal with them), which focuses on our local specialty, thresher sharks.
- "Fish identification" we'll give you the different signs and names of the tropical fish we find in Malapascua and the Philippines. This will give you more personal knowledge.

Because we know you're desperate to see thresher sharks (and maybe tiger sharks), we've created the perfect combination for you:
Day 1: Perfect buoyancy and navigation (2 dives)
Day 2: Deep dive, sharks and fish identification (shark excursion - 3 dives)
